Munro Teardown Shows Tesla Model 3 Solidly Profitable

Munro & Associates finished its teardown and analysis of the Tesla Model 3, and the results are startling. Sandy Munro, the president of the company, says his first impressions of the car kind of misled him, and that now he has to eat crow. It’s all got to do with the potential profitability of the car.

I’m impressed, both with the Tesla and Sandy Monro. I watched the initial AAH presentation a few months back of first teardown impressions and it appeared the Model 3 was a Jekyll-and-Hyde-mobile, with some fantastic stuff mixed with not-so-great. Now Sandy reports in his final analysis that the car is exceptional. I think Sandy is exceptional too, to be so forthright in confessing that he was wrong. You don’t see that much these days.
