  1. Lambo2015 Says:

Would be nice to know the weight of the “cleaning supplies” that was shipped while setting this world record. My guess is 25lbs of paper towels and some detergent.

  2. GM Veteran Says:

So, the EV credit sales are now just the icing on the cake. That’s a nice position to be in. It wasn’t very long ago that Elon bet the farm on the Model 3 and admitted they were likely only two weeks from bankruptcy when they started production of that car. Its hard to see how the company would have survived without the significant income provided by those credits. Just a couple of years ago, they WERE the cake.

  3. Kevin A Says:

… so why doesn’t Renault sell AutoVaz to Geely? Geely doesn’t care about the Russian sanctions.

  4. Buzzerd Says:

I watched the Reuss interview last week and as usual it was very interesting.

  5. Kit Gerhart Says:

3 Geely’s buying AutoVaz probably wouldn’t be good for their other brands, like Volvo and Lotus, in Europe and North America. Also, doesn’t Geely make London taxis? A strong Putin connection probably wouldn’t be good for that business either.

  6. Dave Says:

Many of my friends have PHEVs which they drive over 90% electric Personally I have ICE and BEV I don’t see what the big fuss is about just saying that the electric is a lot more fun to drive perhaps the government [Big Brother] needs to get out entirely BEV is coming no matter what let the manufacturers get on with their job and let the best win

  7. Kit Gerhart Says:

6 The problem with BEVs is that they just won’t very for people don’t have home charging. Also, they don’t work as well as ICE, hybrid, or plug-in hybrid for road trip . I like the way BEVs drive;I’ve driven a Model 3, but I’d never buy one without home charging, which my condo doesn’t have.

  8. Wim van Acker Says:

@7 could you purchase your own charging station and have it installed at your condo?

  9. Kit Gerhart Says:

8 As things are now, no. There are “row” garages, but the utility won’t install individual service, even if a customer would pay for it. Running a cord down from the 3rd floor to the parking lot is impractical. Maybe things will change, at some point.

  10. Lambo2015 Says:

7 I agree and know at some point I will very likely own a BEV. Right now its too early. I am not the kind of person that needs to have the latest new tech. Things are changing at a rapid pace and much of what is coming out today could very well be obsolete in just a few years. Its like buying a smart phone 10 years ago thinking you wouldn’t need to upgrade for 5 or 6 years. Plus for the most part EVs are more expensive for less convenience. When that changes I’ll install a home charger and be looking for an EV.
