I’m currently traveling in Norway and you certainly notice a lot of EVs on the road here. Must be at least 30% with charging stations all over.

  2. Lambo2015 Says:

Sean; It would be interesting to see a chart showing the number of EV start ups and fails over the last couple years. Probably a difficult task as we seem to hear of an unknown start up only when they make an announcement or are on the edge of chapter 11. But I have faith in you.

Its sad what Putin has done to the Russian economy over the last ten years. Its unfortunate, but that Lada sounds like all that most of the Russian population can afford. Once a prosperous and rising economic star, Russia’s economy now resembles India’s more than any other country I can think of.

I wonder what company will buy up the assets of ELMS at firesale prices, and what company may decide to fill the market niche ELMS was going after?

Wonder why GM defense needs to expand outside the US? Don’t we typically just send troops and equipment overseas and just leave them? These other countries get them for free and delivered. ;-)

  6. Lambo2015 Says:

Consumers warm up to AV shuttles and I believe they are being introduced properly. Low speed inner city transports. The question will be, Will consumers be as comfortable with and AV transporting them at hwy speed? Personally I would have much more reservation letting an AV drive me at 65mph than tooling around town at the speed of a moped. But its a good start.

4 Maybe AM General will want it, if they get some new contracts. It was part of their facilities where GM built Hummers.

  8. Kit Gerhart Says:

3 It’s even sadder what Putin has done to Ukraine, killing thousands of people, and reducing cities to rubble.

  9. GM Veteran Says:

#8 Agreed. Its hard to imagine how well that will work out for him if he does “win” this war. I don’t see a very cooperative population of Ukrainians exploiting their country’s natural resources and farmland for Mother Russia.

1 Ask a local about tax rate on buying a New EV vs. a new petrol-engine vehicle! Should be a fun convo
