First Look – 2014 Hyundai Equus

A lot of Americans recognize Hyundai from its popular Sonata, Elantra and Santa Fe models: stylish and affordable cars. But fewer know the Korean brand is even in the luxury business. Now maybe that’s because the Equus brand is so young or that only about half of the more than 800 U.S. dealers carry the premium model. Either way Hyundai believes the mid-cycle refresh it’s giving the car will only make a surprising sales story that much better.

2014 Infiniti Q50 – Driving Impressions

Under the leadership of Johan De Nysschen, Infiniti is pouring on the coals to build itself into a serious player in the luxury segment. The brand is no longer treated as a marketing effort by Nissan, but is now a fully owned subsidiary, with headquarters in Hong Kong, its own design and engineering, even its own human resources department. The first new car to come out under this structure is the Q50 and John just got the chance to test drive it.
