Darren Day is the Head of Interior Design for Bentley. He talks with John McElroy about designing the interior of the Bentley Bentayga SUV. He explains that all Bentley interiors are designed around the iconic winged badge, and the company leaves no detail untouched. Learn what a “charisma control” is and find out why Day jokes that the Bentayga is the world’s most expensive watch winder.

Sangyup Lee is the Head of Exterior Design and Advanced Design for Bentley Motors. He talks with John McElroy about the styling of the Bentley Bentayga. Lee explains why the vehicle has an unusually long overhang for an SUV, a feature which results in a rear greenhouse that has a faster rake than even the front windshield.

Filip Brabec is the Director of Product Management for Audi of America. He talks with John McElroy about the Audi e-tron quattro concept, which telegraphs the direction the company will take when its all-electric SUV goes on sale in 2018. Brabec discusses the challenge of reducing the drag coefficient with crossover packaging, and McElroy asks him if the e-tron quattro is the Tesla fighter Audi needs.

Joe Eberhardt is the President and CEO of Jaguar Land Rover North America. He talks with John McElroy about Jaguar’s long-awaited entrant into the crossover segment. Eberhardt explains what differentiates F-PACE from the competition in a very crowded, if popular, vehicle segment. One of those factors is value, and you may be very surprised how competitively this CUV will be priced when it hits dealer lots.

Swamy Kotagiri is the Chief Technology Officer for Magna International. He talks with John McElroy about Magna’s presence at the Frankfurt Motor Show and the company’s strategy in the hard-fought war for new talent. He explains how students are given real industry problems to solve and are engaged first-hand in the excitement the auto industry has to offer.

Alfonso Albaisa is the Executive Design Director for Infiniti. He talks with John McElroy about the brand’s new Q30 crossover, which features flowing, expressive coupe-like styling all rendered in a color we’ve never seen before. He talks us through the design language of the vehicle and discusses the styling goals Infiniti aimed for in creating this global product.

Kevin T. Kerrigan is the Senior Advisor on Automotive Initiatives for the State of Michigan. He talks with John McElroy about what his team is doing to maintain Michigan’s manufacturing advantage and strengthen its position in the global automotive industry. He discusses Michigan’s outreach efforts as well as its new “We run on brainpower” campaign.

Thomas Brient is the Head of Global Marketing of C-Segment at Renault. He talks with John McElroy about the new Mégane, which Brient says brings D-segment features to a smaller vehicle class, continuing a trend at Renault. The hatchback features several notable styling touches such as always-on lighting signatures at the front and back of the vehicle. In the rear Renault employs a laser welding technique that allows the seam in the light pipes to disappear almost entirely.
