The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) is on a mission to get people more aware of autonomous vehicles. It’s already launched a program in automated vehicle safety testing and recently finished a trial in Florida that allowed the general public to get in an autonomous vehicle (AV). Frank Menchaca, Chief Product Officer of SAE says that public awareness will be key to bringing AVs to scale.
