Forvia Uses Ultra Wide Band To Stop Car Thieves Cold – Autoline Exclusives

Car thieves can be clever and technologically savvy. One of their favorites is to capture the radio signal from a key fob and relay that to a car to unlock it and steal it. Forvia is using Ultra Wide Band to prevent that from ever happening, but it also turns out that you can use UWB to make cars safer and more convenient. Timo Krokowski, vice president of program management at Forvia/Hella, explains what they’re doing with UWB.
