There’s a lot of controversy comparing the Nissan LEAF to the Chevy Volt, but it all has to do with whether or not the Volt is truly an electric car, or whether it’s a hybrid. But let’s set their powertrains aside for the moment. John McElroy just got a chance to test drive both cars, back to back, and here’s his impression of what the they’re like.

I thought this was supposed to be a comparison of the two cars in a test drive, all it was was a rehash of a previous show that compared features. Some test drive.

You only end up with about 2 hours of continuous drive time in the Leaf, so I imagine the rear seat (lack of thigh support) issue will end up being that big of a deal – compared to the Volt. Shouldn’t you have included a Tesla here too?
