“Chevy Runs Deep” no more, instead it’s trying to “Find New Roads” with a new slogan. And, as another tagline lands in the dustbin, we’ll be asking a Chevrolet historian for his take on the matter. Mike Davis is the author of “Images of America: Chevrolet,” a two-volume pictorial history of GM’s flagship brand, and we’ll see what lessons he learned in the long tale of the bowtie. We’ll also get into the news of the week and talk a bit about what we’re anticipating as brands roll out their newest stuff at the North American International Auto Show next week. Joining John McElroy in studio to discuss all this and more is co-host Peter De Lorenzo, the Autoextremist, and a face we haven’t seen in a long time, none other than grizzled PR veteran and AAH founding member Jason Vines.

    Thanks for clarifying Peter…that video release thing corvette did was so lame we as corvette enthusiasts completely agree …IT WAS SUCH A NON EVENT IT DIDN’T EVEN REGISTER!

    We know nothing about the new corvette other than the cool motor and as far as the badge goes? The badge release? WTF is that……the videos if they spent money on that….it was wasted resources..

    I know the vette guys who watched were laughing as it was as you Mr D Mentioned LAME and that’s being nice.

    Can’t wait for the new vette release and I still say GM did a great job keeping the c7 a secret.

    The videos were a waste for sure.

    Actually GM has to do some sort of web info video otherwise the market analysts think GM is out of step. I definitely agree the videos were weak yet they were harmless and do serve to show GM is in touch with social media communication process that are expected by analysts.

    I agree it was a joke yet sometimes you have to play to analysts expectations. The videos didn’t give us as enthusiasts anything other than a chuckle

    Corvette enthusiasts are talking about how serious GM has been at keeping tight lipped on the c7 and how well they ve done it.
