GM & Chrysler Viability Plans

If you want to know the nitty-gritty details of GM’ s and Chrysler’s viability plans, here are copies of the hefty documents they submitted to the U.S. Government. Lots of good information about future product, especially what Chrysler wants from Fiat. And detailed analyses of what’s likely to happen in the automotive market in the next 5 years.

GM’s plan in particular assumes a fairly rapid recovery in car sales. They don’t appear to be doing what needs to be done to bring costs in line with their current and near future revenues.
