Come on guys. How naive and trusting can you get? The EPA might issue exemptions for removing emissions controls for vehicles used in competitions? MIGHT? How about SHALL? who decides on the definition of competition/racing?
This is no different that the current ATF firearms regulations wherein the requirements for a Federal Firearms License are NOT defined. How many guns can you sell before without a license before the ATF arrests you and charges you with a federal crime? I don’t know, you can’t find a number in the laws and regulations, but the ATF will decide on a case by case basis.
Why is it every state sets an exact number of vehicles an individual can sell per year before requiring a dealer’s license but the feds can’t do the same for firearms? Is there any reason why the EPA regulation can’t define what racing or competition is and say that vehicles are exempt in those cases?
When laws are in place that allow some government apparatchick to selectively apply them, we’re all in trouble. People like Gary who remain oblivious are the reason our freedoms continue to erode.
