It’s certainly no surprise that most Chinese EV startups will fail. Most startups in ANY industry will fail.

Go Elon! Keep increasing that stock price with more good news.

The Most tested vehicle GM truck is that since the inception or the Chevy pick-up? This particular model? or a single model year?
The first Chevy truck was built in 1918 so that would only be 30,000 test miles per year which doesnt seem right.

@#1 Jim, did I miss something?

Does Tesla going private force a ‘margin call’ on the Tesla short holders?

A ‘margin call’ means the brokers who loaned stock to the short investors have to make good on the borrowed shares. This forces purchase at the current price which depending upon when the stocks were loaned, means the shorts have to pay the broker.

Also, can Tesla structure going private to give selected owners rights to continue holding the private stock?

If Tesla can selectively force sale of brokerage firm held stock, the cost of going private goes down substantially. Employee and investment firm stock would remain and only have a private market to buy/sell Tesla stock. Stability would return so Tesla can concentrate on product.

Old Elon better not be playing games. Securities and Exchange said that if he didn’t have the financing he is claiming to have and is trying to artificially raise the stock value they are going to hammer the hell out of him.
