  1. John K Gallagher Says:

Way back when the T-1000 was discontinued, our News Director/Anchor was driving one to our constant amusement. He had driven it fromNorth Dakota to Long Island to take that position.
Anyways, Lorraine and I went to a local auto show/swapmeet and discovered a junked Chevette. Simultaneously we were both hit with the same idea: we pulled off all the nameplates and badges. Back at the studio we concocted a letter from GM and assembled our “Pontiac T-1000 upgrade kit”.
The letter said some such story as to the effect that since the T-1000 was now discontinued that GM didn’t want their owners to feel abandoned and is. supplying all T-1000 owners (all 1000 of them) with this kit which also had instructions on how to remove all Pontiac ID and apply the ‘NEW’ Chevrolet badging.
Ken didn’t fall for it but i can still remember the look on his face as he opened his ‘kit’!
