We’ve reported a lot on the Palisade, and while its bone structure is still the same, Hyundai gave it a facelift for the 2023 model year. Here are the changes that are worth noting.

You’ll instantly spot the new Palisade thanks to its toothier grille. At a time when big, blingy grilles resonate with customers, the Palisade has the blingiest in its segment.

Inside, you’ll note a new instrument panel, new steering wheel design and new seat covers. There was nothing wrong with the previous model, but in the car business it’s always a good idea to freshen things up every couple of years.

Third row passengers will be delighted to learn that they now get heated seats. And customers with an iPhone, Apple Watch, or Samsung Galaxy will love the fact they can use their mobile device as a car key.

Hyundai also boosted the wireless charging for phones from 5 watts to 15 watts for faster charging, but I found I had to take my phone out of its protective case to get it to work. And with the case I’ve got, that’s a hassle.

Updates aside, customers will find that the Palisade still delivers the roominess, comfort and power that made this SUV the flagship of Hyundai’s lineup.
