The IG Metall Union in Germany has had a 35 hour workweek since 1989, and can change their schedule from week to week. You represent the industry, but you obviously have a company and industry bias. The Union has 6 weeks vacation in Germany, and Four weeks in America. The German Unions have extended Maternity leave, that’s even extended to situations like sick elderly or children . You seem to be hopelessly out of touch, and too close to the industry to believe that the Automakers can’t afford to restore benefits that they provided for fifty years! You have lost credibility.
