EXTRA: Johan de Nysschen, Audi of America
Synopsis
Is Audi a "performance" brand? Is Audi a "luxury" brand? Is Audi a "design" brand? Or is Audi an "engineering" brand? The answer to all four of those questions from this week's Autoline Detroit guest Johan de Nysschen is YES! As Executive Vice President of Audi of America he believes his brand is all that and more.On this week's show Mr. de Nysschen talks about Audi's new product, its performance heritage and the technology and engineering that he believes separates his vehicles from other luxury manufacturers. In addition he also discusses the reemergence of the diesel engine in America and how it will play a role in the ever-increasing "greening" of today's vehicles. Joining John McElroy on the Autoline panel are Csaba Csere of Car and Driver and David Welch of BusinessWeek.
