Synopsis
To many of us Los Angeles is known for its silky beaches and bucolic neighborhoods, but recently, it could've been mistaken for the Pacific Northwest because the talk around town was pretty much green. Green as in the environment, with much of that energy and attention coming from the 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show. From General Motors unwrapping its two-mode Tahoe hybrid to Honda announcing the availability of its new hydrogen fuel cell Clarity, to a bevy of other OEM alt fuel options, about the only thing not alternatively-powered was the spotlight caressing these new products. This week, Autoline is on-the-road anchoring the broadcast from the Los Angeles Convention Center where John McElroy talks with a variety of OEM executives about products, sales, marketing and let's not forget all things "green." In addition, John gives us a peek at GM's Hydrogen-powered fleet of crossovers that will be traversing the SoCal roads throughout 2008. In fact, he even gets behind the wheel and drives the Chevrolet Equinox up the 101 to Hollywood to evaluate the experience of "driving green."
