In-Road Charging Could Slash Battery Size – Autoline Exclusives

Electreon is a company that specializes in wireless charging. While it’s not a new technology, I’m sure most of us have tossed our phones onto one of those inductive mats to charge up, it does offer a number of benefits for electric vehicles. Once fitted with a special device, the vehicle can charge up with greater ease. Electreon is also pioneering in-road charging, which can put juice back into the battery while the vehicle is in motion. This could result in smaller batteries, yet the ability to do things like complete a bus route without having to go back to the charging station.
