Stoneridge developed a camera system to replace mirrors on big commercial vehicles. Removing the mirrors increases fuel efficiency 2-3%, provides much better visibility and can actually be a recruiting tool to attract new drivers. If NHTSA approves cameras for factory installation, Stoneridge sees big opportunities ahead.
