Traditional OEMs develop and test different components & systems on a car separately from each other. Then they bolt out all together and test it as a system. That doesn’t work for the software defined vehicle (SDV). That’s why AWS is partnering with ETAS to put all data and software in the cloud so everyone has access to the latest developments. But is also forcing OEMs to change the way they work internally. Ozgur Tohumcu, director of global sales for automotive and manufacturing at AWS, explains what’s going on.
