Continental Wants Better Driver Communication – NAIAS 2018

January 17, 2018 by John McElroy

There’s so much new technology going into vehicles that automakers are still trying to figure out the right balance between providing the customer what they want and making it perform to their expectations or needs. At the supplier Continental it’s working on how to better provide information to the driver. Its 3D display uses haptic feedback to give the illusion of buttons, so a user knows where their hand is at without looking at the screen and it’s also developing new head up displays that provide even more information and greater depth of view. And Jeff Klei, President of Continental North America says some of the more advanced technology is only a few years off.
