Detecting Autonomy Edge Cases on the Race Track – Motor Bella 2021

Would racing be any fun without the drivers? While the Indy Autonomous Challenge will race driverless cars around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, that’s not the question it wants to answer. John Waraniak, one of the experts associated with the project, says it’s all about solving extreme edge cases in autonomy. It will tap university students from around the world to come up with those solutions and offer a million dollar prize as incentive.
