PSA Maps North American Comeback – CAR MBS 2017

26 years ago Peugeot left the American market, but parent group PSA recently made the decision to bring it back. It’s mapped out a 10-year plan that first starts with mobility services, called Free2Move. A unique aspect to the service is that it lets you get into vehicles from brands outside of PSA. But the ultimate goal is to once again sell vehicles in North America. North American President & CEO, Larry Dominique says he has a lot of work to do and are probably a few years away from that.

Disruptive Trends Impact on Interiors – CAR MBS 2017

Disruptive trends, like autonomy and ride-sharing will play a big role on the interior of the future. Seats and consoles will move so passengers can look at and speak to one another. Storage will be key. If the vehicle is in autonomous mode, you’re not going to want to reach into the trunk to get an item. Surfaces will not only need to be functional, but also smart and interactive. Han Hendriks of Yanfeng Interiors believes the interior will be the #1 purchasing decision in the future.
