Changing a vehicle’s battery should involve little less than having to open the hood, disconnecting the battery cables and removing the hold down. But what if you open the hood and the battery is no where in sight? It’s one reason why it’s always a good idea to pop the hood before buying a vehicle.

Good timing, just had to change out a battery on a 2009 Acadia, under the 2nd row seat, owners manual won’t tell you where it is, “contact your local dealer” for repairs, or “buy the service catalog” Went online, found it under a Torx wrench screw covered panel. OEM battery had no handle to lift out of tight box. Replacement battery did for easy
drop in. Easy $200.00 plus at dealer, $99 at home. Another prime example of Mfg/dealer plan to boost bottom line on the service side, not too hard with mechanical illiteracy rising quickly in the general populace.
