The germans will never allow control of MB to leak away to the Chinese. Geely/china want to be the big EV giants and take over from Europe and the US. The germans will not allow China to get a first view into MB (and other European partner) research and innovation. Thats what the 10% share starts to do. Geely is still a pure chinese car maker with minimal sales and understanding outside. Volvo is his best outside buy success so far.
London has congestion charging based on emissions. So just dropping a battery engine into a taxi will not work. Prius burns fuel even if its less of it. Ford needs a ULEV explorer.

48V hybrid is still a Hybrid. Its just a better version of stop start and low speed electric driving. What 48V is cheaper hybrids. We know PHEVs are rarely being charged as their range is pathetic. UBER thinks like a tech company-anything can be bought but Google is not about to have this headstart being used to give UBER the lead. Expect UBER to trade cheap stock to Google to avoid crippling fines.
