Uh-oh. In the pell-mell race to develop lithium-ion batteries for plug-ins, EVs and hybrids, has any automaker taken a hard look at where all that lithium is going to come from? Guess what? Not only are global lithium supplies . . .

    You’ve changed my thinking on lithium batteries.

    One, is the the price will not come down the fast–if at all.

    Two, we appear to be changing our dependancy from oil to dependancy fromthose who manufacter lithium batteries or mine the raw materials.

    Maybe cars using flyweheels or air compression are the way to go.
