Synopsis

Nissan is using its latest marketing theme, SHIFT__2.0, to attract attention to its newest generation of vehicles. But attention is something that hasn't been lacking around Nissan Motor Co. the last year. From the good--a major turnaround in sales, to the bad--lost personnel with its headquarters move, to the in-between--a dead-end alliance with GM, the Nissan name wasn't just on the business page, it was on the front page of newspapers, magazines and news programs around the world. Well that was then and this is now. Today, the media seems to have almost forgotten about last year's newsmaker amid the funereal headlines coming from Ford and DaimlerChrysler and the robust news trumpeted by Toyota and GM.

This week's Autoline Detroit puts the focus back where it ought to be: on Nissan's product. Larry Dominique, Nissan's vice president of product planning, joins John McElroy and his panel to discuss what's new in the Nissan lineup and what's coming down the road.
