Listen to “AAH #760 – Key Tech Aumovio is Bringing to Automakers” on Spreaker.
Have you heard of the supplier Aumovio before? Most people haven’t. That’s because it’s a brand new company that just did an IPO this morning in Germany. Aumovio is the automotive operations that were spun off of the giant tire company Continental. The IPO values Aumovio at €3.4 billion, which is less than what the hard assets of the company are worth. Investors are worried about all the change going on in the auto industry. So the only way that Aumovio is going to increase its market cap is by coming out with new technology that leads to stronger growth.
PANEL:
Aruna Anand, CEO Aumovio North America

Gary – I am surprised you did not see any pickups. Last time I was in the Netherlands (about 1 1/2 years ago) I was surprised how many pickups I saw in Amsterdam and in Brussels. Obviously not near as many as in the USA but so many that I had to eat me words (I told my kids we would hardly see any full-size trucks). In particular I saw a decent about of Ram trucks.
