SkillReal is a company that’s developed software that can make even standard, off-the-shelf cameras much more accurate and then use those cameras to inspect items, like welded and stamped body components, in real-time as they come off the production line. Pete Grabowski, COO of SkillReal, says the system is not only great for quality checks, but it also allows a company to tool up a new line/plant faster because they can train robots in the virtual world, before the ever touch a real part.
