TECH REPORT: Ford RevoKnuckle
February 24th, 2009 at 12:02pm
As we reported on Autoline Daily, Ford has developed a new kind of front suspension that eliminates torque steer. Called RevoKnuckle, it looks and works a lot like a conventional MacPherson strut. The big difference is that it has as a separate ‘carrier’ that holds the bearing, hub and wheel. While turning, the ‘carrier’ moves rather than having the whole strut pivot, which apparently stops torque steer in its tracks.
