Hey, good show, however… you guys talk about “short sighted” referring to the US auto companies.
The opinions in this episode are very short sighted.
1- if the US doesnt fight back against China auto companies in coming here, there will be no US auto industry left. NOT because our products cant compete, but because the rules are set against the US companies, in every way.
2- the human population is growing, more robotic workers in any industry, no matter how you slice it, means fewer job for humans that cannot be a “journalist” or code writer. How do you intend to employ, feed and care for those humans? robots are NOT the answer to all production.
3- autonomous / self driving cars, are NOT the answer to save lives. Stop making humans MORE lazy, teach, train, and enforce better driving. Saftey features are great, but with FSD, there’s NO spontenaety while driving.
you cant “plan” every single trip… think about how people actually drive.
STOP over regulating cars. There are WAY WORSE things killing people, like our chemical filled foods. Obesity and disease kill more people and are a bigger drain on health care than car accidents.
