Danny,
Thanks for the great feedback. And we agree. Micky Bly was fantastic. We also wish policy makers would watch After Hours to learn how to craft intelligent legislation!

James,
Good question. It seems unlikely they have anything to do with Rivian (but who knows?). As you know, there are a number of businesses in the old Burroughs building in the background, and maybe it has something to do in there.

Klass,
We will report on what Aptera is doing if it ever gets into production. The company was founded in 2006 and all it’s done so far is burn up a lot of investor’s money and it’s still looking for more investors. It has also stiffed at least one supplier we’re aware of, not paying for work performed. The company needs to prove it can actually start making cars and turn a profit. Until that happens we remain very skeptical and feel no need to report on what it’s doing. It’s been saying that production is ‘right around the corner’ for years.

Don,
Thanks for your note. That modular interior idea that Jeff Stout from Yanfeng talked about on Autoline After Hours is something I’m sure we’re going to see go into production.
Musk is indeed a complicated person, like Henry Ford, and Thomas Edison. I guess there’s a common personality type amongst men that transform society with their inventions and become filthy rich in the process. They can do a lot of good at the same time they can be dirty, rotten scoundrels.

PSN,
You’re absolutely right, there are important nuances to the Cruise accident. When it occurred we reported about it, but in follow-up reports we don’t always have time to recount all the details, and we have to assume some amount of awareness on the part of our viewers.
Best,
John McElroy
